You can use the Union Membership Fee system item to add this kind of payment to your employees' payslips – individually or in bulk.

How to add the Union Membership Fee item

Individually

  1. Go to Employees, and select the relevant employee.
  2. Next to the Regular Inputs heading, click the Add button.
  3. Click Union Membership Fee (under Deduction).
  4. Enter the Amount.
  5. Click Save.

In bulk

  1. Go to Employees > Bulk Actions.
  2. Under Payroll Inputs, click Regular Inputs.
  3. Confirm that your filters are correct (Pay Point and Pay Frequency).
  4. Click the first drop-down, and select Union Membership Fee (under Deduction).
  5. In the Add column, check the boxes for the relevant employees.
  6. Complete the Amount per period column.
  7. Click Save.

How to remove the Union Membership Fee item

Individually

  1. Go to Employees, and select the relevant employee.
  2. In the Regular Inputs section, click Union Membership Fee.
  3. Click Remove > Confirm.

In bulk

  1. Go to Employees > Bulk Actions.
  2. Under Payroll Inputs, click Regular Inputs.
  3. Confirm that your filters are correct (Pay Point and Pay Frequency).
  4. Click the first drop-down, and select Union Membership Fee (under Deduction).
  5. In the Remove column, check the boxes for the relevant employees.
  6. Click Save.

Why isn't the Union Membership Fee option showing when I try to add it?

Click Add next to the Regular Inputs heading (not the Payslip Inputs one). If you've already added the item, it should display in the Regular Inputs section.
